Who we are
Flip Trading Co (FTC) is a UK resale and sourcing business. For privacy enquiries, contact enquiries@fliptradingco.co.uk.
Information we may collect
Depending on how you use the website, we may receive your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, approximate area or postcode, details of items you want to sell or source, photographs you submit, and the content of your enquiry.
Why we use it
We use personal information to respond to enquiries, assess items offered to FTC, help source requested items, manage event or programme interest, keep appropriate business records, prevent misuse and meet legal obligations.
Our lawful basis
We generally process enquiry information because it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a transaction, to perform a transaction or service you request, to meet legal obligations, or because FTC has a legitimate business interest in responding to and managing genuine enquiries. Where consent is the appropriate basis, you can withdraw it.
Who may receive your information
Website forms are currently processed using FormSubmit so that submissions can be delivered to FTC by email. If you choose to contact FTC through WhatsApp, Facebook or another external service, that service processes information under its own privacy terms. Purchases made through eBay are also processed under eBay's own terms and privacy information.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the enquiry, transaction, record-keeping, dispute handling or legal obligations. Different records may need different retention periods.
Your rights
UK data protection law gives individuals rights over their personal information, which may include access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and data portability depending on the circumstances. Contact FTC using the email above to make a request.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect information, but no internet or email system can be guaranteed completely secure. Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information through website forms.
Children and young people
The Young Entrepreneurs page is intended to collect initial expressions of interest only. Where participation involves a child or young person, FTC will use appropriate parent or guardian involvement and will put suitable safeguarding arrangements in place before any programme activity begins.
Questions or complaints
Please contact FTC first if you have a privacy concern. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
